Jesus spoke of Paradise as a great garden and as a great homeland where people, in their souls not their bodies, are with him. A place of peace, appreciation, forgiveness, healing, purification, love. Jesus said he prepares our own place in Paradise, so that we feel at home there, with everyone welcoming us, as we welcome everyone. In Paradise we receive reward for going out of our way to care for others, to be generous to others.
Paul wrote of Paradise as in the heavens, the third heaven out of seven, beyond human contact. In Paradise we are fully known, understood and accepted, as we also fully know, understand and accept others.
John, in Revelation, wrote of Paradise as a place of rest and of celebration – celebration of the immense love of God and of the life he gives, celebration led by angels with people and nature joining in. In Paradise we are seated above the angels. We are at home as sons and daughters. Angels are the servants of all the family. na. But Jesus warned that there will be some people who are so attached to the devil and his accusing and lying ways that they will come to a complete and final end. No part of them will exist anymore. Even the memory of them will probably disappear.
